About the Magisterial District Courts...

Welcome to the Montgomery County District Court website.  Montgomery County maintains thirty district courts strategically located throughout the county.  An elected Magisterial District Judge presides over each of the individual district courts.  The District Courts serve as the initial tier of Pennsylvania's Unified Judicial System  Our District Courts maintain jurisdiction over criminal preliminary arraignments and preliminary hearings; summary criminal offenses; traffic offenses; municipal code violations; landlord/tenant suits; and civil claims where damages do not exceed $8,000.

This website provides litigants/defendants with commonly requested information, form, as well as answers to frequently asked questions.  Our District Judges hope this website makes your interaction with the court system efficient and as stress free as possible.  If you do not find the information you are searching for, please call the appropriate District Court and a court clerk will be happy to assist you.
